Centre Information

The centre operates from a Victorian village school and has two spacious rooms. The larger room is used for all the centre's activities e.g. pool table tennis, badminton and discos. In the small room there is a kitchen area and tables and this has recently been set aside for a cafe. The Centre is very near to Rotherham town centre and the motorway networks. There is a variety of game stations and games.

Treeton Youth Centre offer a variety of activities and events that young people from across Treeton, Brinsworth and Aston can get involved in. We offer a traditional programme of arts and crafts, indoor games, cooking and sports in the outdoor sports area, and also film nights, events away, such as trips to ten pin bowling and ice skating trips to Sheffield or Doncaster. Young people have the opportunity to take part in discussions and projects that will enable them to make informed choices in areas such as health, stereotypes, the community and anti-oppressive practice.

Our detached teams work across Thurcroft, Aston, Brinsworth, Catcliffe, Swallownest, Aughton as well as all the smaller villages in the area. The detached teams will engage young people on the streets, sports areas, car parks in their own communities they will offer the same opportunities as the building based teams will offer but, uniquely, from a mobile youth bus.
