Welcome to Rotherham Youth Cabinet!

Rotherham Youth Cabinet are a group of young people aged 11-18 who make decisions which have a positive impact on the lives of young people.

We aim to ensure young people's voices are heard and influenced throughout our community.

What do we do?

  • We undertake research and campaigns to help improve services and provision for young people.
  • We ensure young people in Rotherham are listened to and have a voice.
  • We meet regularly to make things happen.
  • We have FUN, make friends and meet new people.
  • We develop confidence, gain skills and have new experiences.
  • We work with Elected Members and decision makers in Rotherham.
  • Plus lots more...


How do we do this?

  • We consult with other young people to find out what we need to work on.
  • We meet regularly and work together as a team on the issues.
  • We have training to enable us to perform our role.
  • We meet with people who make decisions which affect young people.
  • We go on residentials and trips to help us develop our skills and knowledge and to help us work as a team.


Who can get involved?

Anyone! As long as you are between 11 and 18 years old , live, learn or work in Rotherham and are passionate about the voice of young people.
