Centre Information

Swinton Youth Centre is based in Swinton Community School. Facilities include a kitchen and coffee bar area and a large activity room. There is a quiet area where young people can relax and discuss issues affecting their lives.

Young people enjoy the variety of provision including; information advice and guidance, project work, residential opportunities and accreditation programmes and volunteering. A wide programme of learning is also available and encouraged.

Young people have had a long history of volunteering at Swinton which has given them the chance to learn new skills and develop their self-confidence as well as helping others within their community.

We aim to provide

  • Opportunities to have real voice and influence by being involved in making decisions and creating change in communities

  • Residential, adventure and outdoor opportunities

What's On

3.00pm to 5pm - Youth Clinic (13-19) Sexual health and relationships for young people who wish to speak to workers around sexual health and/or relationships. Condom registration and distribution, chlamydia testing, sign posting onto the Sexual Health services/clinics around Pregnancy, STI;s and contraception.

5.00 to 6.00pm - Volunteering Group

6.00 to 8.00pm - Open Access Youth Club for Yrs. 7-10
