Rise Above - New Website for Young People

Published: Thursday, 5th March 2015

A new website has been launched for young people which aims to encourage conversations about health issues you may face, such as body confidence, peer pressure and self harm.

Public Health England has launched the Rise Above website which offers help for young people on how to deal with personal and societal issues.  The website aims to build emotional resilience in young people by equipping them with the skills and knowledge they need to make informed decisions, and help deal with the pressures of growing up. It also encourages conversations about the key health and wellbeing issues that affect teens and young people. The website tackles topics such as puberty, relationships, alcohol, self-harm, smoking, contraceptive choices, drugs, body confidence, peer pressure and mental health. Visit the website HERE
